Lee Griffith

Lee started to play cello as a young student in the Suzuki Cooperative of Cincinnati Public Schools at Sands Montessori, later graduated from the School of Creative and Performing Arts and studied with Norman Johns of the Cincinnati Symphony and Nadine Monchecourt of the Dayton Philharmonic. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, was one of the winners of the Corbett-Mayerson competition and has toured Poland. Lee studied the Suzuki Method in Chicago, Columbus and at the University of Louisville, where he won the Mastropauolo Merit Award. In 2011, Lee attended the Sphinx Performance Academy at Oberlin Conservatory. He is an active performer in the Cincinnati area and was awarded a scholarship from the Cincinnati Foundation. He now studies cello at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music as a full scholarship student of Dr. William Grubb.
